Florencia "Flor" (Abejero) Abole, of North Charleston, widow of Andres H. Abole, entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2010.

She was born April 11, 1925, in Balangiga, Eastern Samar, Philippines to the late Sixto and Regina Abejero of Eastern Samar, Philippines.

A Navy wife, mother and grandmother, she worked as a sales associate at the Charleston Naval Base Exchange from 1971 to 1986.

Mrs. Abole was an active member of the Charleston Area Filipino American Association and other local Filipino organizations. She was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in North Charleston where she served previously on the church choir and served in several parish capacities through the years.

Surviving are her son, Andres A. Abole of West Columbia; daughter, Cynthia A. Abole of Charleston; and daughter and son-in-law, Jane A. and Howard M. Dobbins of Charleston. Also surviving are brothers, Antonio Abejero of Quezon City, Philippines and Sergio Abejero of Balangiga, Philippines.

She was predeceased by her husband, Andres H. Abole in 1996; and by her sons, Raymond A. Abole in 1995 and Norbert A. Abole in 1997. She enjoyed a life filled with joy, love and bountiful memories thanks to the presence of her family and grandchildren: Anne Katherine Abole of New York City, NY; Nicole Abole Hulion and husband, Jason Hulion of West Columbia, Howard "Andy" Dobbins, Adam Dobbins and Jessica Dobbins, of Charleston and many devoted friends.

The rite of committal was in Carolina Memorial Park.
