mother: Mary Phillips MARK
Obit-Gonzales Inquirer Mar. 3, 1888
In Memoiam
Mark Kitchen, son of J. T. and Mary P. Kitchen, was born Feb. 18, 1872, and died pneumonia and congestion, at his fathers home near Gonzales, Texas Jan. 15, 1888. Mark was an obedient son and an affectionate brother; genial in disposition, he had many friends.
Previous to his last sickness he was a stout boy, with as fair promise of a long life as any boy of his age, he was only sick four days, when his young life went out, and the bust wheels of the physical body stood still, and he was gone from this world forever; but while he has gone from home and loved ones, the bereaved ones sorrow not as those who have no hope, for they look for the resurrection of the dead, and a life beyond the grave, where loved ones will meet to part no more.
