Services for Wilma Sue Sessions Venable, 69, Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Bethel, the Rev. Garvin Pulley and the Rev. O. E. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Venable died Jan. 13, 2011 in Tyler.

She was born April 18, 1941 in Brownsboro to the late Willie Lee and Winnie Ellen Shelton Session.

Sue grew up in Athens, formerly lived in Dallas and Houston, before moving to Grand Saline in 1994. She was formerly co-owner of Sessions Etc. in Palestine and Athens. Sue was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Athens.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glynn Venable and sister Clovis Hugghins.

Survivors include son Merton Hamilton, Dallas; daughter Kim Johnston and husband Shayne, Grand Saline; sisters Willie Jo Stephens, Athens and Winnie Lee Grissaffi, Grand Saline, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Johnston, Micah Grissaffi, Jonathan Johnston, Nathen Grissoffi, Chuck Grissaffi, and Tyler Monroe.

Honorary pallbearers include Richard Monroe and Christopher Grissaffi.
