Marian Elizabeth Adams, 79, of Garden City died Wednesday, September 20, 1995, at her home.

Ms. Adams was born December 15, 1915, to William and Sadie E. (Beebe) Adams in Fox Lake, Minnesota. She grew up in Garden City and graduated from Garden City High School in 1934. In 1935 she moved to California and spent most of her time in Sonoma working as an accountant and office manager. After retiring from office management, she went back to college and earned her Master's Degree in education, after which she taught at both high school and community college levels. She moved from Sonoma to Garden City in 1991. She was a member of Garden City Christian Church.

Ms. Adams is survived by one sister, Iris Shouts and her husband Clifford of Lake Crystal; two sisters-in-law, Beulah Adams of North Mankato and Evelyn Adams of Houston, Texas; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and five sisters.
