Eber W. Phillips was a son of George H. Phillips and Margaret (McGee) Phillips. He was married first to Mary Scott, born 1852, died 1927; daughter of Marshall and Sarah (Everett) Scott in 1869. Married 2nd to Annie G. Crouch on 21 October 1891. Married 3rd to Sarah Crookshank on 19 August 1903. The children were by the first marriage. Elber and Mary Phillips owned 287 acres in Valley Bend, one half well improved. They were the parents of seven children; Allen Phillips (b. 1870, d.1893; burial in George H. Phillips "Pat" Cemetery), Nora Phillips (1872-1949), Everett S. Phillips (1877-1938), Charles Phillips (1882-1951), George Marshall Phillips (1880-1968), Margaret Phillips (b. 1875, d. 1876; burial in the George H. Phillips "Pat" Cemetery, and Jeffe Phillips (1887-1955). Eber W. Phillips is buried beside his second wife, Annie G. Crouch.
