GAINESBORO - Funeral services for Mary "Magg" Jones Myers,
69, were held Saturday, January 6 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Anderson Funeral Home with burial in the
Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown Community of Jackson County.
Mrs. Myers died Thursday, (January 4, 1990) at Masters Health Care Center in Algood after an extended
illness.
Born June 20, 1920, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Vanderbilt and Lula Warren Hooten.
She was a retired garment factory employee, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Her family includes two sons, William Jones of New Lebanon,
Ohio, and Jimmy Jones of Gainesboro; three daughters, Ann Anderson of Gainesboro, Jo Carolyn Moss of Hendersonville and Shelby Cassetty of Antioch; one brother, Joe A.
Hooten of Gainesboro; and one sister, Thelma Pigg of Dayton, Ohio. Grandchildren:
Seven grandchildren: Cathy Darlene Jones Mitchell of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Sandra Yvonne Moss Pacwa of Hendersonville, TN, Belinda Kay Anderson Brown of Sparta, TN, Jeffery Charles Moss (deceased) of Hendersonville, TN, Jennifer Lee Jones White of Livingston, TN, Jimmy Lee "Jamie" Jones of Baxter, TN, and Michael Alan Cassetty (deceased) of Lafayette, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tina Cherry; and three brothers, Ted, Oval, and Elmer Hooten.
Bro. James Paul Anderson officiated at the services.
