     WILLIAM M. PACK DIES IN HOSPITAL
          Heart Ailment Of Long Standing
                  Fatal To Local Man


William M. Pack, 69, years old, of Beckley, died yesterday from a heart attack.

He had been affected by a heart ailment for some time.

Pack was born in Summers county, November 9, 1866. For a number of years he had lived in Raleigh County.

Suvivors are his widow, Mrs. Emily Clay Pack, Beckley; a brother, Chris Pack, Rainelle; two half brothers, Lee Pack and Grover Pack, who reside in Summers county; one sister, Mrs. Joe Cooper, Shady Springs; five sons, Jess Pack, Sprague; Fred Pack, Kaymoor; and Lee Pack, and hansen, all of Mabscott; and four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Miller, Elk Ridge; Mrs. Macie Hannah, Mabscott; Mrs. Gretchel Miller, Sprague; and Gussie Pack, Beckley.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night.

                  AT HOME ON SUNDAY


Funeral services for William M. Pack, who died at his home in mid-city Thursday of a heart ailment, will be held at the residence Sunday afternoon at two o'clock. Burial will be made in Sunset cemetery.

He is survived by nice children, 36 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The following pallbearers have been announced: E. H. Loflin, J. B. Kirby, Larkin Gunter, Lewis Bowers, Kess Thompson, Paul Gunter, Bill Ingram, Edgar Brammer, W. S. Gregg, Nat Allen, and Ed Brewer.

Funeral services will be conducted at the residence in Mid-City at 2 p.m. Sunday for William M. Pack, who died there Thursday of a heart ailment.

The Rev. L. E. Fineout, of Mabscott, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor cemetery.

William was born in Summers County, the son of Johnie Pack. He and Emily were married by Rev. William Turner at her parents residence on September 25, 1890.

They spent their lives together in Raleigh County, where William worked as a painter and they raised five sons and four daughters. Their last residence was on Wilkes Avenue in Beckley.

William suffered from heart trouble and his death is believed to have been caused by a heart attack.

In addition to Emily, William left behind a brother (Chris) of Rainelle, two half-brothers (Lee and Grover) of Summers County, a sister (Betty Pack Lilly), and half-sister (Mrs. Joe Cooper) of Shady Spring.

With exception of three (William Lee Pack, Grethel Emma Kathleen Miller, and Gussie Bolt) all of William and Emily's children are buried in the Mount Tabor Cemetery.
