Freda Webster, 102, of Sioux City passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Sunrise Retirement Community.

Per Freda's request, her body was cremated, and no services are planned. Arrangements are pending with Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Freda was born Sept. 5, 1905, in Chippewa Falls, Wis., the daughter of Oliver and Inga Christiana (Simonson) Albeck. She married George Thomas Webster on Nov. 23, 1927, in Huron, S.D. He preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1998, in Sioux City.

Freda enjoyed working in her yard, antiquing and doll collecting. She always looked forward to spring and seeing the first robin.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Robert and Frances Webster of Dawsonville, Ga.; a daughter and her husband, Shirley and John Merrill of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Helen Albeck and Julia Albeck; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Mary Anne Sena; six brothers; and two sisters.
