Paul Holmes, 86 years old, died this morning at 5:30 o'clock in his home at 719 East Butler Street, the result of a five week illness.
Mr. Holmes was born October 7, 1857, in Tioga Center, N.Y., and moved to Michigan with his parents about 80 years ago. He has been a resident of Adrian and vicinity for the last 50 years.
Preceded in death by his wife Eva on October 13, 1932, and one daughter Lena in 1922, he is survived by his daughter Mrs. Blanche Hunter of Detroit, one granddaughter, four grandsons, five great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Everiss Funeral Home, the Rev. Paul Wengel officiating. The burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
