HIGH POINT - Mrs. Claris Inez Venable Albertson, 97, of Archdale, passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at the Hospice House in High Point.

She was born March 31, 1913, to L.O. and Mary Jane Venable in Stokes County. She graduated from King High School and worked in High Point, where she met and married her husband, W. Darrell Albertson in 1947.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Dana Lanning and Larry, of Kinston; Karen McNeely and Mike, of Asheboro; five grandsons, Kevin Lanning, Brian Lanning and Julie, Chris Lanning, Ben McNeely and Thomas McNeely; and three great-grandchildren, Courtney, Hunter and Briley Lanning.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Cumby Funeral Home, Archdale at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Floral Garden Park in High Point.
