Chester Lada Dies in Hospital
Chester J. Lada, of Tuscumbia, died Friday at the new Veterans Administration Hospital, Columbia. A native of St. Louis., Mr. Lada was born Jan. 30, 1910 the son of Adam and Josephine Dziomba Lada. On April-11, 1941, he was married to the former Miss Josephine Sliwka, who survives. Mr. Lada was a veteran of the Army of the United States with service during World War II. Before his retirement in 1970, when he moved to Tuscumbia, Mr. Lada was employed in St. Louis as a boring mill operator. He was a membfcr of > the Gypsum and Cement Union, AFL-CIO. Mr. Lada was a member of the Notre Dame Catholic Church at Des Lourdes, St. Louis County. Survivors include: One son Ronald F. Lada, Ullman; one daughter, Mrs. Jerrilynn Bunn, St. Louis. One brother, Stanley Lada, St. Louis; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth, with the Rev. Ferdinand Bonn officiating. Military rites under the auspicies of the Fort Leonard Wood Mortuary Team will follow in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Stevinson Funeral Home, Iberia.
