Raymond Gregoire, 46, of this city died on Wednesday at The Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton.

He was injured when the truck he was driving struck a tree on Easthampton Road, Northampton, Wednesday morning.

Born in Holyoke, he attended local schools, including the former Holyoke Trade High School. He worked for Sullivan Steel Co.

He was a leader of Boy Scout Troop 424, and a member of the Elks Lodge and the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors.

He leaves his wife, the former Catherine Gossman; a son, Thomas L., and a daughter, Judith A. Gregoire, both at home; a brother, Donald of Holyoke; nine sisters, Theresa Twiss and Stella Duxbury of Granby, Shirley Favreau of Holyoke, Jeanne Peloquin of South Hadley, Grace Demers and Freda Baricevac of New York City, and Diane Wilkinson, Lydia Greco and Simone Krauss of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
