Her mother was Susan Martin, details unknown. Susan married Absalom Heflin in 1850. They had two daughters, Sarah (Sallie) Heflin and Eliza Ellen Heflin. Absalom married his second wife, Elizabeth Margaret Grimsley, abt 1858.
