Astleford, Dale Lawrence Age 79, died peacefully on March 13, 2010 in Mesa, AZ. Dale was born August 5, 1930 in Worthington, MN to Robert and Emma Astleford. He graduated from Bloomington High School in 1948, where he was class president. He attended Macalester College and Dunwoody Institute. He served in the US Army in Korea, and was a proud member of the VFW. Dale worked as a truck mechanic for 48 years at Astleford Equipment Company in Richfield and Burnsville MN. He retired in 1994 and moved to Arizona. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Ramona Brick. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, Lola May; daughters, Susan Pederson, Gwen Stafne (John), and Jacqueline Astleford; sons, Joel Astleford (Lori), Brian Benson (Patty) and Larry Benson; grandchildren, Kelly, Kasey, Randi, Kaitlin, Jacqueline, Molly, Chris, Christianne, Robert, Jennica, Ryan, Jake, Adam, Mitch, Kyle, and Blake; great-grandchildren, Cali, Courtnie, Michael, Vincent, Sicily and Karlee. Also survived by brother, Leon (Elaine); sisters, Carol Connelly (Mike) and Shirley Astleford (Michael Fiore); and several nieces and nephews. His life will be celebrated in a memorial service held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Richfield United Methodist Church, 5835 Lyndale Ave. So, Minneapolis, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment following at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Odyssey Hospice, 202 E.
