Arthur attended Dist. #58 school about 1/4 mile from their home. He taught school in the Winnetoon area and served in the Us Navy during WWI.
He married Hazel Granger, July 15, 1921 in Nashua, Ia.
Arthur operated a lumber yard in McLaughlin, S.D. from 1919, until the family moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1935.
He died March 25, 1946 in Eugene and is buried at Rest Haven Cemetery, Eugene.
His wife, Hazel and two children, Lyle and Delaine, brothers, Henry of Springfield, Oregon, George of Winnetoon, Nebr. and sister, Lena McDowell, also of Winnetoon survive him.
