He belonged to Robert G.Durgin American Legion Post 67 and American Citizens Club of Polish Association and National Rifle Association.
Mr. Gielar was a communicant of St.Mary Church and was a former parish member and president.
He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Beneda K.(Pelczar)Gielar, in 2003.
He is survived by one daughter Patricia, two grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, nieces and nephews.
