Erma Wood Lovelace, 93, of Martinsville, Va., died at Blue Ridge Rehab Center on Wednesday, September 14, 2005. She was born on November 20, 1911 to Edward G. Wood and Sarah Wood, both deceased. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Beverly Lovelace. She was a homemaker, and a longtime member of the Broad Street Christian Church, also a volunteer for the Red Cross. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Rayford (Patsy) Smith of Martinsville; her son, Barry Wood Lovelace of Boones Mill, Va.; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Broad Street Christian Church with the Rev. Dr. Steve Perotti officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials are to be made to Broad Street Christian Church, 106 Broad Street, Martinsville, Va. 24112.
