Mr. Abbott died Thursday, March 9 in Mineral Wells. He was born July 25, 1910 in Mineral Wells to Frank Harrison and Sallie Taylor Hill Abbott.
He retired from Southern Airways and was a farmer and a rancher. He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors are his sister-in-law, Louise Abbott of Mineral Wells; six nieces, Mattie Buchanan, Willia Mae Hubbard and Mary Ann Dinwiddie, all of Mineral Wells, Lucille Barrett of Fort Worth, Joyce Houck of Karnes City and Lexie Turnipseed of Montgomery, Ala.; and four nephews, Cecil Jordan Withers of Mineral Wells, Langdon Withers of Mansfield, Roger H. Abbott Jr., of Cleburne and Lloyd C. Hudman of LaPorte.
Pallbearers will be Mike Adkins, Bill Fincher, Alec Harrington, Larry Harrington, Fred "Bud" White and George "Shorty" Holland.
