THOMASVILLE – Mrs. Priscilla Ilene Edwards McElroy, 66, a resident of Connor Court, died Wednesday morning, January 19, 2011 in the Lexington Memorial Hospital. She was born October 8, 1944 in Albany, Georgia, a daughter of the late Livingston Edwards and Nellie Green Edwards. She was a retired employee of Hanes Brands, Inc of Winston-Salem and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Jamie McElroy Owen and husband Marty of Thomasville and Jennifer McElroy and husband John Johnson of Lexington; a son, Justin McElroy of the home; two grandchildren, Alyssa Hemric and Christopher McElroy; two sisters, Claudia Edwards Griffin and husband Charles of Summerfield and Susan Edwards Ledbetter and husband Horace of Midlothian, Virginia.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11 A.M. in J.C. Green& Sons Chapel with Rev. Brian Workman officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 P.M. in Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 A.M.
