Jean was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebr., she spent many of her summer's in North Dakota with her Grandmother, Myrtle Bracelen. Jean married Thomas J. "Tommy" Lawrence on November 22, 1945 in Marysville, Kansas. They moved to Little Rock in 1946 where their two children were born, they later divorced. On May 13, 1960 Jean was married to Roy Barnett in Arcadia, Calif. She was the mother of three children, Linda Kay, Tommy Lee and Jimmy Jay. Aunt Jean was the eldest child of Leo Henry and Evelyn Jeannette Shasteen Bracelen she also had two brothers, Leo Henry Jr. and James Carl Bracelen.
At the time of her death she was grandmother to Anthony Harold and Catherine Jeanette Walton. After her death she gained one more grandchild, Jean Marie DcDowell.
