LUCINDA B. EDWARDS
---Mrs. Lou B. Edwards, a resident of La Plata for more than 50 years, passed away at her home in east La Plata last night about six o'clock. She had been seriously ill for the past few days and had been in failing health for some time.
---Lucinda B. Edwards was born on May 10, 1860, a daughter of George and Agnes Ross. Her early life was spent in Grant, Kentucky where she was married to Charles S. Edwards in 1882 and came to La Plata where she spent the remainder of her life in the home she came to as a bride.
---She united with the Christian Church where she was a member for over fifty years.
---Her husband passed away in 1903. Two children have also preceded her in death, Mrs. Ethel Tisue Bergman of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Lewis C. Perry of La Plata. There are three grandchildren, Mrs. R.H. Muellar of Kansas City, Richard Tisue of Burbank, California and Lewis Charles Perry of La Plata. Three great-grandchildren also survive.
---Funeral services will be held from the Community Presbyterian church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Fred L. Hudson, pastor of the church. Burial will be made in the La Plata cemetery.
