Irene Ciha, 81, 2305 Monroe St., Two Rivers, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 18, 2011, at the Hamilton Care Center, Two Rivers.

Irene was born on Aug. 28, 1929, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Emil and Pearl (Eckendorf) Bronk. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1947. She then went to work at the Mirro Company in Manitowoc. On May 16, 1953, she married Robert J. Ciha, Sr. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1995. After her marriage, Irene was a stay-at-home Mom, proudly raising her four children. When her children were grown, Irene went back to work first for Clipper City Displays and then the Carron Net Company in Two Rivers. Throughout Irene's 22 years at Carron Net, she made many friends with her co-workers and employers.

Irene was a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center, Two Rivers Historical Society, Monday Evening Rosary Group, St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish, and the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman CCW.

Irene loved nature, especially watching and feeding her birds, and passed her love of nature on to her children and grandchild.

She also loved her Green Bay Packers; College Basketball, especially the Duke Blue Devils; and talk radio always informing all of us of current events with her, "Are you aware...". She was a lover of music, especially Stan Kenton; and enjoyed reading and poetry.

Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Clarice and Thomas Silbersack, Green Bay; Cynthia L. and Daniel Sook, De Pere; her son and special caregiver, Frank A.
