Timothy (Tim) D. Oliver, age 56, of Kendallville, IN passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. Tim was born August 24, 1952 in Port Huron, MI, the son of Rev. Jack and Carolyn (Anger) Oliver. He grew up in the South Haven area where he graduated from South Haven High School. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and later graduated from Liberty University and retired from Cooper Standard Automotive, Auburn, IN . Tim loved spending time with his grandchildren, Kayla, Charissa, Shalana, Trenton, Allie, Dylan, Courtney, and Ava and was looking forward to the arrival of a new grandson in September. Surviving are his wife Billie (Cleverly) Oliver whom he married May 23, 1991 in Nashville, TN; 2 sons, Timothy (Jeannie) Oliver of Ypsilanti, Nicholas Oliver of Tigard, OR; a daughter, Amy (Craig) Jenkins of Villa Park, IL; 4 stepchildren, Jessica (Rinehart) and Chris Scheurich of Waterloo, IN, Jason Rinehart, Nichole (Hagerty) and Ryan Hull of Kendallville, IN, Shaun Hagerty of Churubusco, IN, and eight grandchildren; his mother, Carolyn of South Haven; two brothers, Gary Oliver, Ron (Carol) Oliver, both of South Haven, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Jack Oliver; two sisters, Jacqueline Oliver and Frances Marie (Oliver) Hall; and a niece, Kimi Marie Hall. The family will meet friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Bangor Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday with Pastor Theron Crawford officiating. According to his wishes cremation will follow the services. The family suggests memorials to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
