Mildred June Louise Attridge Kelly, 91, of Dallas City, Illinois passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Gilpen House in Dallas City, Illinois. She was born on June 17, 1924 in Isle of White, England, a daughter of William Lawrence and Mildred Holdaway Attridge. June married Dermot Kelly on March 8, 1945 in London, England. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2005.
Survivors include a daughter: Sheila (Ron) Monroe of Keokuk, Iowa; a step-daughter: Mary Ellen (Calvin) Moorad of Modesto, California; a brother: John (Jan) Attridge of San Antonio, Texas; 12 grandchildren: Joe (Rachel) Wilson Jr., Kevin (Pam) Wilson, Stacy (Gregg) Prskalo, Colleen (Nick) Lacny, Amanda Kelly, Kay (Nate) Krell, Nicole (Pat) Gilhooly, Monique (Ken) Lebowski, Kevin Kelly Jr. and Jennifer (Jeff) Jertberg, Allyson (Gavin) Warlaumont, Greg Moorad; and 18 Great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sons: John D. Kelly, MD, Kevin Kelly, Thomas Kelly and Michael Shane Kelly, a daughter: Maureen Kelly, a granddaughter Kelly Jo Wilson in infancy, a great grandson Riley Joseph Wilson at birth a sister Lillian Baldock and a brother Michael Attridge in infancy.
June attended school in Isle of White, England, Alexandria, Egypt and Hong Kong. She was of the Catholic faith and attended Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo. She enjoyed Gardening, swimming, boating, singing, horses, and singing in the church choir and her grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 after 2:00 PM with family meeting friends between 4:00 and 7:00 PM at the Lamporte – St. Clair Funeral Home of Hamilton.
Burial will be in the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Nauvoo, Illinois.
