Following is my grandfather's death notice, October 7, 1973, Boston Sunday Globe, page 38. Avery—Of Watertown, Oct. 5, James H. Avery, beloved husband of Mary (Hayes), father of Mrs. John (Charlotte) Gleason of North Reading, the Rev. Joseph E., M.M. of Hawaii, Robert H. of Ohio, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) O’Connor of East Weymouth, George A. of Waltham, brother of David of New York, Abraham of Waltham and Clara (Claire) Curran of Brighton. Also survived by thirty-one grandchildren and three great grandchildren,. Residence 112 Irving Street. Funeral from the Donald J. MacDonald & Son Funeral Home, 270 Main St., Watertown on Monday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Calling hours Saturday 7-9, Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
