Alex Rollins, Sr. died at his residence in Prairieville, July 1, at the age of 87.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Matthews Rollins; five sons, Alco, Christopher and Robert S. of Chicago, Ill., Otto of Shreveport and Alex Jr. of Arcadia; four daughters, Mrs. Bessie R. Williams and Mrs. Lue Gertie R. Tureaud of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Odee R. Governor of Chicago and Mrs. Nettie R. Wright of New York city; and four grandchildren.
