Altamont — Carl J. Klepzig, 76, of Altamont died 8:05 p.m. Monday (Nov. 21, 1988) in Lutheran Care Center, Altamont.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altamont. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Kull Funeral Home, Altamont, and one hour before services Friday in the church. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shumway. Memorials: St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church or donor's choice.

Mr. Klepzig was born in Shumway, son of John and Anna Klepzig. He was retired from Holman Grain Elevator, Altamont, and was a farmer and was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lutheran Brotherhood and Golden Circle Nutrition Center. He married Florence Engel in 1932.

Surviving are his wife; son, Arland of Altamont; Roger of Marion, Ohio; daughters, Mrs. Leon (Mary Ann) Schwarm of Decatur; Mrs. Ronald (Neva) Warren of Memphis, Tenn.; sisters, Mrs. Bill (Edna) Kramer and Eva Klepzig, both of Anaheim, Calif.; Mrs. Jack (Mary Mae) Chamberlain of Effingham; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, three sisters and one grandchild preceded him in death.
