He lived with Elizabeth and children in Lawrence County, Missouri and Greene County, Missouri for a number of years before moving to Washington State between 1861-1868 and on to Butte County, Chico, California area. His son George W. joined him in [the] Chico area and was the reporting person on his death certificate. Elizabeth was found living with one of the children in Northwest Arkansas at this time ... she did not join him on his travels. Alfred and Elizabeth had the following children: Hewey or Huey Ellis Morrison, Sarah M. Morrison, William L. Morrison, John W. Morrison, George W. Morrison, Rachael E. Morrison and Abigale H. Morrison.
