He passed from this life on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 at Cloud County Health Center at the age of 74. Emmitt served in the US Navy during the Korean War Conflict. He was an LPN & RN, working in both hospitals and clinics. He was married to Juanita in 1981 in Kansas City, MO. Emmitt & Juanita lived in Claremore, OK until she preceded him in death on May 24, 2004. He is survived by his sisters: Helen Osborn, Carroll, IA & Margaret Reiter, Carroll, IA & a brother: Jim Holt, Neenak, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita; parents; stepfather, Albert Nightingale & half brother, Roy. It was Emmitt's wishes to be cremated with no services. He will be buried with his wife Juanita, at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia, KS. Memorials to the Sunset Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.
