I, 11th Pennsylvania Cavalry (108th Pennsylvania). He re-enlisted as a Veteran Volunteer at Portsmouth, Virginia, November 21, 1863, and re-mustered there December 1. Promoted to corporal to date January 17, 1865, he honorably discharged with his company August 13, 1865. The company descriptive list spells his surname "Sites," but he is in the company register as "Seitz."
He married Elizabeth Sheffer and fathered Eli Andrew (b. 08/01/67), Charles (b. 08/13/69), Milton (b. @1873), Elva Jonna (b. 04/09/74 - married John McWilliams), John S. (b. 05/09/76), and Wesley (b. @1877). No obituary was found in any online newspaper archive.
