Clarence D. Gable,69, of 1650 Virginia Ave. Dover Twp. died at 10:15 a.m. Friday December 23 1983, at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Delores L. (Hoke) Gable.
The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Eberhart Funeral Home, East and East Market streets, with burial in Mt. Rose cemetery. The viewing will be 7 to 9 p. m. Monday.
Born in York, Mr. Gable was a son of the late Pius and Emma J. (Druck) Gable. Before retiring in 1980, he was employed by the former John Dauber Florist for 30 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and secretary of the Sunday School.
Mr. Gable is also survived by three sons; Gary L. Gable 4381 School House Road, Dover, The Rev. David C. Gable Wellsville RD 1, and Timothy A. Gable 2 Meadow Road.Dover; two daughters, Brenda J. Gable Bloomfield, New Mexico and Lori A. Gable, 280 E. Market Street Hellam; five grandchildren, and a brother, Ralph D. Gable.
His pastor the Rev. Joseph L. Kugle, assisted by the Rev. Clarence L. Chubb, visitation pastor, will officiate.
