Memorial services for Velda C Baker, 75, of Enid, will be Friday, March 29, 2013, 1:00 PM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bruce Johnson officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Timberlake Cemetery, Jet, OK.

Velda was born August 24, 1937 in Cherokee, OK the daughter of Robert and Lydia Mae Guthrie Baker Sr. and passed away March 22, 2013. For a time, she was employed by Safeway Food Stores and has always had a good reputation for being dependable to finish any task given. Velda shared the gifts given to her with others which included beautiful needlework and detailed attention to her gardening. She was a faithful member of the Enid First Nazarene Church.

Survivors include a brother, Doyle Baker and his wife Debbie of Virginia, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and her very special sister-in-law, Mary Beth Baker of Enid who was always there for her and took tender care of her throughout her life along with Wendall, her nephew and guardian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, J.C. and Robert Baker Jr., two sisters, Edna Mae Baker and Wanda Baker.
