She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jarrett Bonner Cook; sons Jarrett Blakley Cook and wife Essie Pauline Nerren; Elmer Earl Cook; granddaughters, Diedre Nan and Amanda Ann Cook; sisters, Fannie Gulley, Maggie Rice, Dovie Parrish, Beatrice Parrish, Ivy Beaty; brothers, James Basil Abercrombie, Thomas "Marvin" Abercrombie, Richard "Edwin" Abercrombie, J. T. Abercrombie; and many nieces and nephews.
Ethel was a member of the First Methodist Church in Lufkin, and owner of the Cook's Hotel in Lufkin.
Services will be held at Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Garden of Memories.
