ABBE—Of Peterborough, N.H., July 26, Mrs. Emma Johnston Abbe, formerly of Mattapoisett, Mass.; widow of Frank Gibbs Abbe; mother of Mrs. Nathaniel (Eleanor) Underdown, Peterborough, N.H.; also survived by 4 grandchildren, Miss Joy Underdown, Columbua, Md., Mrs. Charles Phillips, Jr., Mattapoisett, Mass., Mrs. Dean Ervin, Wilton, Conn., and Mrs. Charles Sellman, Sherborn, Mass.; several great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Congregational Church, Mattapoisett on Saturday, August 4, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Sagamore, Mass. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Mattapoisett Historical Society. The Jellison Funeral Home, Peterborough, N.H., is in charge of arrangements.
