William was employed as a section foreman for the Great Northern Railway. He married Clara Moe in 1911 in Duluth, Minnesota. He died in St. Francis Hospital, Superior, WI, at the age of 65 from myocardial infraction (heart attack) & previous cerebral hemorrhage (a stroke). Burial was on January 28, 1950.
