Ida was the daughter of Thomas J. Adams and Mary E. Thompson. Like most (likely all) of her siblings, she was probably born in Elkton.

Ida married Mortimer Kline on April 23, 1889 in South Greenfield, Dade Co., Missouri. Their son Ernest Mortimer Kline was born June 8, 1890 in South Greenfield; he died September 14, 1935 in Branch Co., Michigan. Ernest's burial location is unknown.

By 1900, the family was living in Algansee Twp., in 1910 they were in Kinderhook Twp., and in 1930, Mortimer and Ida were in Ovid Twp., Branch Co., Michigan. Mortimer Kline was born in Michigan, he was a farmer. His death date and location is unknown.
