Funeral services for Ora D. Sylvester,89 yrs,5 Mo.23 days, of Gravette Ark.formerly of Chouteau, will be held at 2P.M. on Sunday, May 26, 2002 at the Vasser church in Mulhall
Mrs. Sylvester was born December 1, 1912 in Bethel, Ok. She died on May 24,2002 in Gravette Ark.
The daughter of James Henry Hill and Martha Cordelia (perrin) Hill.
She and John Marvin Forehand were united in marriage March 23,1929. He preceded her in death in 1959. Ora married WalterSylvester in 1962.
Mrs. Sylvester was a member of the Chouteau Church of God. Over the years she was a Sunday School teacher and was very active in the Womans Ministry.
Survivers include one son, Marvin L. Forehand, Austin, Tex.; three daughters,Dessie Dinsmore, Chouteau, Esther Manoes, Gravette Ark.,Delphia Scroggins, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two step sons, William H. Sylvester, Valejo, Calif., Ronald Lee Sylvester, Sand Springs; two half sisters, LaVern Nordine, Cambridge Neb.,Darlene Fisher, Grove, Ark.; 17 grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren.
Ora was preceded in death by one infant son, Marvin Otto Forehand, two half sisters, one half brother, both husbands and her parents.
