Theodocia was called "Dora" and "Docia". She attended the Drain Normal School then she taught school in Oakland before her marriage. She married Samuel Walter Leake on November 26, 1893, in Douglas County, Oregon. They had one child, Walter Louis Leake, and settled in Dixonville, OR (aka Deer Creek). They owned 160 acres, farming 30 of it in prunes.
