WALLSBURG, Wasatch County -- Mrs. Leone Ford Allen, 57, life-long resident of Wallsburg and widow of James L. Allen, died in her residence here Friday at 12:15 of a heart ailment.

She was born April 30, 1895 at Wallsburg, a daughter of William and Eliza Ann Gurr Ford. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and had worked in the Sunday School, Relief Society and Young Womens Improvement Assn. In YWMIA she had served as a counselor.

Mrs. Allen was a charter member and one of the organizers of the local Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Camp. She received her schooling in Wallsburg Proctor Academy in Provo and the University of Utah.

She was married June 8, 1916 to Mr. Allen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Survivors include a son and three daughters, James F. Allen, Wallsburg; Mrs. LaMar (Evelyn) Davis and Mrs. Glenn (Maurice) Middlesworth, Salt Lake City and Mrs. Helen Murray, Wallsburg; her mother, Wallsburg; seven grandchildren, three brothers and a sister, Dewey and Gertrude Ford, Wallsburg; Parley Ford, Provo and Earl Ford, Heber.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Wallsburg LDS Ward Chapel by Carl Batty, bishop. Friends may call at the Olpin Mortuary. Heber, Saturday evening and at the family residence in Wallsburg, Sunday afternoon and evening and at the family residence and Monday until time of service. Burial will be in the Provo Burial Park.
