On 16 June 1928, Ruth married Elmer Lee Bingham, who worked for many years for the Southern Pacific Railroad. They traveled extensively by train during the years before air travel became common. In retirement, they remained at their home at 28th and Noe Streets where they had lived since 1930. Ruth and Lee were parents of two sons.
It is to Ruth that the family is indebted for keeping in touch with distant relatives and bringing them into our lives. Ruth also traveled to Wisconsin in the 70's and met her father's relatives, leaving a story for others to follow.
