This vicinity was deeply grieved by the sudden death of Mrs. John J. Weber, which resulted from fatal burns received early in the morning of Saturday, June first.
Her son Frankie, with whom she resided had lighted the fire in the kitchen stove and was doing chores at the barn. While preparing breakfast his mother accidentally spilled kerosene on the stove which exploded setting her clothing on fire. The cries of her grandsons brought her husband to the scene. He extinguished the flames and Mrs. Weber was rushed to the Appleton hospital where the best of medical attention was given her. She remained conscious until she passed away at 3:40 Saturday afternoon and she received the last sacrament before passing away. She was 68 years, three months of age at the time of her death.
