Services Saturday For C.W. Trotter
Services were held at the Carnegie cemetery Saturday afternoon for C.W. Trotter, resident of the community six miles Northeast of town, who died September 1. Rev. Virgil Russell, pastor of the Methodist church, conducted the service.
Charles W. Trotter was born November 1, 1880 near Whitesboro, in Grayson county, Texas and was 58 years and 10 months of age at the time of his death. He came to Oklahoma before statehood and settled on a farm near Sentinel, later moving to Loveland where he managed a cotton gin and served as postmaster for several years.
He moved to his farm Northeast of Carnegie in 1925 and made his home there until his death. His father died in 1913 and her mother died in 1934.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. H.T. King of this place and Mrs. Nora Kennedy of Brownsville, Texas; two brothers, A.G. Trotter of Mountain park and Tom Trotter of Fletcher besides many nephews and nieces and many friends wherever he lived.
