Charles H. Harris, 76 of Falmouth, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Mary Washington Hospital.
He was born Nov. 18, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service, a member of American Legion Post 290, and former President of Local Postal Workers Union.
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy R. Harris.
Survivors include daughters, Donna Bratcher of Batesville, Miss., and Deboraha Crittendon of Walterboro, S. C.;sons Charles Buddy Harris of Hickory Valley, TN. and Charles Henry Harris of Tiverton, RI.; stepdaughters, Rita Viers and Wanda Bennett of Fredericksburg, and Linda Compton of King George; stepsons, Jack Buchanan of Dale City, Roger Buchanan of Woodbridge, Doyle Buchanan of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Darrell Buchanan of Gloucester, sisters, Marie Bowles of Brookland, Arkansas, and Ruth Leslie of Brandon, Florida; 32 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
