James J. Duroe died at his home in Jeffers, Minnesota, last week at the age of eighty-one years. Mr. Duroe homesteaded in Douglas township, this county in 1886, on the farm now owned by Chas. Gilmore. In 1882 he moved to Sioux Rapids and went in the hardware business, and in 1900 moved to Jeffers. The body was brought to Sioux Rapids for burial. Spencer Review, 6 Oct 1915.
