Graveside services for Alice Jayne Roelker will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 27 at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pastor Anthony Maes will officiate.

Jayne was born March 21, 1933 in Pueblo, Colo. the daughter of George W. and Ada Erma (Butler) Purdy. She passed away at her Cortez home on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the age of 77.

Jayne enjoyed the outdoors; watching birds, and tending her flowers and yard as well as time spent fishing. Jayne loved her dog and all of her family deeply.

Surviving Jayne are her children, Gary Anderson of Cortez, Kathy Anderson-Marth and husband, Tony of Los Alamos, N.M., Patty Lien and husband, Brad of Cortez and Peggy Brinkerhoff and husband, Rex also of Cortez; and by eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Jayne leaves behind also her two sisters, Betty Anderson of Idaho and Ethel Archer of Silver Springs, Nev. Those preceding Jayne in death were her parents; her husband, Alfred F. Roelker in 1997; and her daughter, Krista Purdy-Tipton.
