Leonora Adair, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 89, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Leonora Clarice Lindgren was born on December 9, 1918 in Esther Township of Polk County, MN, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Hoff) Lindgren. Leonora grew up in Esther Township in Polk County, MN and attended Pleasant View School.
Leonora lived and worked on the family farm until she was united in marriage to Emmett Adair on June 26, 1940 in Crookston, MN. After she was married, she worked for the Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks, ND for a number of years.
Family members who survive Leonora include her children: Cathy (Robert) Jarombek of Grand Forks, ND, Dennis (Maurice) Adair of Jamestown, ND and Gary (LaNae) Adair of Enderlin, ND; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Emmett, on February 12, 1995; 1 brother Clarence and 1 sister Evelyn.
Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 29, 2008, at Bethany Lutheran Church, rural East Grand Forks, MN.
Visitation: 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. with a 3:30 P.M. prayer service on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, MN.
