Ms. Dale Ann Childers Camp, age 54, of 3217 B Old Calhoun Road, Rome, GA, died Monday, June 11, 2007, at her residence.

Ms. Camp was born in Floyd County, GA, on September 23, 1952, the daughter of the late Samuel H. Childers and Lela Fincher Cannon. She was mother and father to her children. Ms. Camp loved her children and grandchildren and had a good heart to all. In addition to her parents Ms. Camp is preceded in death by a sister, Celeste Ashley and two brothers, Harry Childers and Randy Michael Keys.

Ms. Camp is survived by a son, Randall Childers of Rome; a daughter, Sandra Camp of Rome; four grandchildren, Kaitlan Camp of Rome, Micah Childers of Duluth, GA, Madison Hammitt of Rome, and Jasmine Watts of Rome; three brothers, Lamar Childers and his wife, Sarah of Rome, Gary Childers and his wife, Sandra of Sand Rock, AL, and Rickey Childers of Rome; and four sisters, Joan Garrett and her husband, Bo, Reeca Dodd, Cheryl Nichols, and Donna Miller and her husband, Ricky all of Rome. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. David Fincher officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Camp will remain in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home on Thursday by 1:30 P.M.: Deric Williams, Michael Garrett, Seneka Watts, Chris Smith, Clifton Dodd, and Ricky Garrett. The Honorary pallbearer will include Jody and Caleb Childers.

The Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for the funeral of Ms. Dale Ann Childers Camp.
