Don had fallen and been hospitalized since December 5, 2010. He was standing on a table to "Get a better picture of the Holiday Spread" at the Retirement Community Center where the Simmon's live. Photography was a hobby and he wanted the best picture he could get. But he fell off of the table - busting both knee caps and ended up in leg casts and bedridden. An undetected bladder infection caused his diabetes to go out of control and he passed away early in the morning hours.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his widow, Marie Simmons and Family.
