He leaves his wife of 65 years, Frances (Dobrovolsky) Pielaszczyk; 2 daughters, Frances A. Kacavich of Worcester; Stephanie M. Manning of Proctor, VT; 5 sisters, Theresa Rudzinski, Katherine Bartzak, Helen Kasprzak, and Hattie Horan all of Worcester, and Jane Jasiatis of FL; 6 grandchildren, 3 great- grandchildren, many nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Stephan and Chester Pielaszczyk, and a sister, Sophie Pielasczyzk, pre-deceased him. He was born in Worcester, the son of Theophile and Alexandra (Pisowacka) Pielaszczyk, and lived in Holden for more than 50 years. Mr. Pielaszczyk worked as a machinist for Norton Company in Worcester for over 25 years. He and his wife traveled all over the country to different shows with their antique business. He was a Navy veteran of WWII having served on a P.T. Boat, and remained a member of P.T. Boats H.Q.'s. He was a member of St. George's Church.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Sat., Feb. 28, in St. George's Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to USS Massachusetts Memorial Committee, Inc., Battleship Cove - P.T. Boat Museum, P.O. Box 111, Fall River, MA 02722; or to Alzheimer's Association, Mass. Chapter, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
