Arch J. Lancaster, 83, of Oklahoma City, peacefully slipped away on 14 Feb 2008. Arch, also known as Art, was born to Arch E. Lancaster and Della M. Jackson on 28 Nov 1924 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He served his country in the US Navy from 1942 until Jan 1946. He married Dorothy Reiman in 1945, who preceded him in death in 1990. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Bill Lancaster; and one sister, Betty Lancaster. Art worked as a Service Salesman and New Cars Salesman at the Downtown Cadillac Dealership from 1947 until his retirement in 1985. He is also survived by three children and their spouses, Lyle & Gale Lancaster Nelson of Blanchard, OK, Landy & Kay Lancaster of Oklahoma City, and Randy & Treva Lancaster Kirk of Mesquite, Texas; one sister, Sue Misenheimer of Oklahoma City; and his special friend and love, Jewell Moore of Moore, OK; nine grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will all miss him. The family wishes to express a special thank you to all of those at Norman Specialty Hospital who took such good care of our father during the last weeks of his life.
